Faculty of Science is one of the basic faculties of Zawia University. It is located in the city of Al-Ajailat. It is a scientific institution that plays a vital role in the service of society. It is a recorded growth and development since its inception. The Faculty started its activities in the academic year 1999/2000

The Faculty of Science seeks to excel in the educational process, scientific, infrastructure and scientific research through careful strategic planning to ensure the achievement of advanced educational programs</p>
The Faculty has considered that its mission and its quality and the continuous improvement is achieved by strategic goals and objectives which are clear, specific and measurable:
- Develop and strengthen educational programs and study plans in line with local and international standards and serve the society and the environment.
- Preparing a model educational institution with advanced scientific and administrative standards.
- To work on the contribution of the Faculty in the service of society and the development of the environment through fruitful scientific research and social services in order to find solutions to various issues facing the society and the national economy.
- Raise the efficiency of faculty members and administrative staff in the faculty to ensure the quality of the educational process and continuous improvement.
